Kambaba Jasper Rhyolite Sphere Orbs Swirls 556g
This is an alluring, choice, polished Kambaba Jasper, aka Kabamba Jasper, aka Crocodile Stone, aka Nebula Stone that exhibits fascinating, varying shades of green swirls and numerous orbs representative of Rhyolitic rock. This particular sphere appears to have a 100% natural, whimsical face pattern, truly a one of a kind stone! Measures 2.9" or 73.7mm and weighs 556 grams. This often considered enigmatic stone has recently been studied, peer reviewed, and determined to mineralogically be a type of volcanic Rhyolite rock and is neither a jasper nor a stromatolite rock. Mineralogists have concluded that the green, dark green to almost black appearing green stone includes Quartz, Aegirine, Albite, and Feldspar. Very small, naturally occurring vugs are evident on this sphere, present when the stone was originally mined. Some aggregates of this stone have also been observed to have amphibole needles.
