Agate with Hematite Polished Asni Morocco 209g

This is an exceptional, Hematite included, quality Moroccan Agate specimen, polished on one side, that presents with banding, fortification, with colorful mossy occurrences.  4.35" x 2.79" x 1.12" or 110.6mm x 70.9mm x 28.4mm.  Shiny areas of polished hematite are evident near the edges of the agate showing a metallic gleam, especially when the specimen is turned in the light. Some of the other excellent features of this agate include detailed, layered banding in a fascinating stretched looking design with less common pink colors blending into the white of the pattern. Another fascinating attribute of this excellent example of a Moroccan Agate is the translucency and transparency, i.e. the clear areas of the specimen that give the appearance that many of the beautiful yellow, orange, reddish and gold structures, including botryoidal structures, are floating and immersed within this quartz var. chalcedony agate.  209 grams.

Normal for this type of agate, there are almost negligible, natural hairline stress fractures that do not take anything away from powerful aesthetic of the agate.. The polish on this specimen is terrific.
