This is a gorgeous, partially skeletal Smoky Quartz variety Amethyst with exceptional scepter form, an excellent example of a second generation, terminated Quartz crystal that grew on top of another Quartz crystal. 2.33" x .95" x .79" or 59.1mm x 24.3mm x 20.1mm.
No damage or polish. The complex grown faces of this specimen are not broken, rather they exhibit dimples and indented fenster or skeletal, hoppered growth. The facets and faces of the secondary growth crystal vary from slightly frosted to clear and lustrous, presenting with a nice shine. Zonation is primarily smoky root beer color with a beautiful soft violet to violet-purple Amethyst color in the faces of the secondary crystal. 23 grams;
