This is an exceptional, gemmy, Quartz var. Light Amethyst Japan Law Twin thumbnail in a Perkins box* that presents with terrific form and luster.  .84" x .62." x .40" or 21.4mm x 15.8mm x 10.3mm. The Amethyst in this excellent Japan Law Twin exhibits primarily in the tips of each termination and is very light in color with superb clarity and form, inspiring the sometimes applied description of being a "gem bomb". 5 grams.

The peppering of minute, very small specks on the facets and faces of the crystals is the added bonus of Goethite. Only the tiniest bruising is evident on one of the terminations, almost imperceptible unless viewed under magnification, and considered common for these specimens from. When considering the exceptional form, clarity, quality, and less common occurrence, this is truly choice and rare material.
