Rhodochrosite is from a source of the mineral that is found in a hydrothermal vein (Rhodochrosite is also in high-temperature metasomatic deposits and sedimentary manganese deposits) with other manganese minerals in Capillitas, Argentina. Rhodochrosite presents in various hues of pinks and reds - the color is dependent on the different saturation or substitutions of minerals (manganese carbonate, magnesium and zinc to name a few).
