Octahedral Pyrite Larger Mirror Luster Crystals Galena 163g
This is a higher quality octahedral Pyrite cluster with excellent bright silver metallic mirror luster. Abundant, fascinating stepped, etched and folded looking Galena is growing on and all around the well formed Pyrite.
2.42" x 2.19" x 1.17" or 61.5mm x 55.6mm x 29.8mm, 163 grams.
Source: Huanzala Mine, Huallanca, Bolognesi Province, Ancash, Peru.
* The faces of some of the well formed octahedral Pyrite crystals show etched, maze looking polycrystalline growth. The faces are otherwise smooth and brightly reflective. The terminations present with an intriguing, naturally occurring beveled structure and are not cleaved or artificially altered in any way.
* Important to note is that this specimen is truly higher quality Pyrite with typical roughness or what could be considered damage isolated to the underside and outside edge contact area of the piece that occurred during the process of extraction and separation from matrix by the miners. Those crystals, or focal crystals in the center of this specimen present cleanly.
