This is a beautiful example of a quality Moroccan Agate specimen with a polished face that presents with fascinating depth and translucency.  4.9" x 1.68" x 1.13" or 124.6mm x 42.8mm x 28.8mm.  The translucent attributes of this specimen present a sort of  multidimensional appearance where you can see the intriguing structure of the patterns deeper in the quartz var. chalcedony. There is a beautiful dispersal of dark yellow-green banded and fortification interestingly spaced agate patterns.  A natural, hairline stress fracture trails shallowly across the face of the specimen and down one side of the specimen, however it does not take anything away from the overall aesthetics of this Moroccan agate.  The palette of colors evident in this specimen include yellow, yellow-orange, orange, red-brown, with white bursts and banding.   and red hues.  The polish on this specimen is terrific.  This is a truly fascinating example of a type of Moroccan Agate. 180 grams.  Click to buy!

Source:  Volcanic outcrops in and near Agouim, Ighrem N'Ougdal Caidat, Amerzgane Cercle, Ouarzazate Province, Draa-Tafilalet Region, Morocco. 

Agate is primarily a microcrystalline quartz var. chalcedony most frequently found within volcanic and metamorphic rocks.  Moroccan Agates often feature many different formations, patterns, structures and an incredibly vast number of colors.
