A beautiful, distinguishing feature of Hyalite Opal is that it glows a strong green fluorescence in UV light.
Though this Hyalite type of Opal does not exhibit the level of color play or opalescence often seen in precious Opal, it is still a great specimen to add to any display, especially when looking to obtain a collection that is more complete in all the types of Opal presenting on this planet.
