Gorgeous Fluorite Dark Green Truffle Pig Pocket England 302g
This is an absolutely gorgeous, dominantly dark green, lustrous Fluorite specimen featuring well formed crystals from the Truffle Pig Pocket in Weardale, England. 2.84" x 2.61" x 1.65" or 72.3mm x 66.4mm x 42mm This Fluorite color shifts!...from dark green to purple, especially along its edges and corners, due to its reaction to differing degrees of visible light, including daylight! The corners of this beautiful specimen will naturally fluoresce a bluish-purple in daylight. And, because this Fluorite is also UV reactive, it will glow an intense electric blue-purple...a super bright, seemingly luminous "blurple" when exposed to UV light. Excellent features of this Fluorite include transparent corners, characteristic cloud-like green centers., fascinating stepping structure, and small occurrences of gray-black Galena. The fun name applied to this species of Fluorite was derived from what the miners looked like as they collected the specimens...it has been said that they looked like truffle hunters! Different visible light, indoors with light and dark backgrounds, and daylight / outdoors, help highlight the shifting, reactive color this species of Fluorite presents. Superb luster shines brightly from the faces of the crystals. An exceptional Fluorite specimen for your collection! 302 grams. Click to Buy!
