Excellent Laguna Agate Beautiful Fine Banding Ornate Plume Orbs 75g

This is an excellent collector quality Laguna Agate (Agate var. Laguna) slab specimen, highly polished on both sides, featuring mostly white and some very soft lavender-pink, exceptional, fine banding, fortifications with contrasting complex orange plume formations. 3.92" x 2.23" x .35" or 99.6mm x 56.7mm x 9mm. Orbicular growth is also evident adjacent to the white banding and in the fascinating olive green formations outlining this slab specimen. You'll enjoy holding this attractive slab up to the light to appreciate the translucency of the quartz var. chalcedony of this Laguna Agate. The soft lavender-pink color is most evident in the area around the crystalline pocket and best viewed with light shining through from behind the specimen. The beautifully contrasting orange-yellowish, flowery formations present with superb plumes and complex patterns. Laguna Agate is found as thunderegg type nodules and hints of what is inside the stone is sometimes evident from the exterior with translucent chalcedony agate peeking out of the surface of the stone. There is some nipping in a couple of the edges (appears to have taken place before polishing) revealing the raw chalcedony banding; it verifies the authenticity of the piece and does not take anything away from the overall beauty of this fine example of a Laguna Agate slab specimen. Both sides of this highly polished, excellent Laguna Agate slab specimen are equally beautiful. This Laguna Agate slab specimen will be a truly great addition to any collection! 75 grams.
