Cerussite Twinning Crystals Orange Barite Galena Morocco 292g

This is a superb specimen, showing multiple examples of twinned translucent Cerussite crystals amongst blades of orange-pink Barite growing on Galena from the Les Dalles Mine in Morocco.  A larger size piece, this one measures: 3.8" x 2.4" x 1.2" or 96.5mm x 61mm x 30.5mm. Weighs 292 grams.

The gray-black Galena, some areas in this piece showing a metallic luster, is not only the "mother" mineral for the secondary lead carbonate mineral Cerussite, it provides a nice contrast for the orange-pink Barite and Cerussite crystals.  The Cerussite crystals in this excellent specimen present variably as a distinctive translucent white, lightly yellow tinted hue, many of which are lustrous while others are coated with an orange iron oxide also appearing on the Barite. Many of the Cerussite crystals in this piece are reactive, they fluoresce a fascinating cream-yellow when under UV light.  This is a quality specimen to fill your collection with the Cerussite with Barite and Dolomite on Galena piece you need or to give as a gift to the discerning mineral collector. Some expected, mostly insignificant light bruising or scuffing is evident, however, takes nothing away from the beauty of this excellent piece. Purchase with confidence from knowledgeable mineral collectors and sellers, constantly pursuing excellence in quality and service. 292 grams. Click to Buy.
