The faces of the crystal exhibit with variable characteristics; relatively smooth on one side and etched on the other. The crystal is transparent to mostly translucent and hematite included.  The extraordinarily large size of this nearly 6 inches single barite crystal is the main characteristic that contributes to this piece being a bona fide rarity to include in your collection or to give to a mineral enthusiast / crystal collector.

446 grams ( just under 1 pound ).  5.96" x 1.52" x 1.04" or 151.4mm x 38.7mm x 26.4mm
