This is an exceptionally well formed pillar-like rhombohedral faced Pink Cobaltoan Cobalt-bearing Calcite fine quality specimen in matrix from Morocco with many fine crystals, including an extraordinary larger size crystal. 2.2" x 4.15" x 3.39" or 56mm x 105.4mm x 86.3mm. The crystalline pocket, which actually appears to be two deeper pockets of beautiful crystals includes the focal crystal that is larger than usual for this type of calcite occurrence. The largest crystal is nearly 18mm. There is zoning evident in many of the gemmy crystals. The Cobalt-bearing Calcite also presents as a vein meandering cross the top, down one side and under the specimen.
